They Said I Couldn't Make Music. AI Proved Them Wrong
Yes! Even you can make music!

The Prompt used to generate the banner
A whimsical, sepia-toned illustration of an adorable AI robot with gears and cogs, showcasing a playful and quirky personality.
The robot is playing with a pop bandin a concert setting, surrounded by fans that are hard to see due to concert lighting, a drummer and robot vocal singer are on stage, the scene is a crowded concert hall, and elements inspired by Roald Dahl's illustrations.
The background is a perfect blend of a AI singers, musicality, and a busy concert hall, all brought to life through soft watercolor effects and detailed line work.
The overall look is high definition, with an aspect ratio of 1:1 and a vibrant color palette that captures the essence of the scene
Note from the Author:
"You're tone deaf" - Words that crushed my musical dreams in high school.
That’s what my choir teacher told me.
I love going to concerts and I always wanted to learn to make music.
Fast forward - I just mixed my first AI-generated track into a live DJ practice session.
Yet, I am reminded by my creative friends who feel like art is being stolen and misattributed.
Even when generating these AI images, it sometimes doesn’t sit well with me adding myself as the source of the image.
AI might be my mid-life crisis, but its given me the opportunity to take an idea I have and to bring it to life.
So this week, we cover a bit of music (and possibly too much about the AI music generator, Suno)
As a result, this is not a sponsored ad for Suno. I just find it cool to be able to make music on demand.
Also, heres my new track!
You think I got what it takes to be the next Tiesto?
The AI music revolution isn't coming - it's already here! Suno AI V4 has just released a game-changing update that's making waves (and beats) across the industry. Here's a cool video made from AI music generators
AI Tool Review - Suno
Suno AI V4: The AI Music Revolution Is Here, and It's Incredible
In a landscape cluttered with AI music generators, Suno AI has just dropped a game-changing update that's making waves in both tech and music circles. Recently featured in Rolling Stone, Suno V4 is now available to everyone – including free tier users – and it's redefining what we thought was possible with AI-generated music.
What Makes Suno V4 Special?

The standout feature of Suno V4 is its remarkable versatility and ease of use. Want to create a Mississippi Delta blues track about artificial intelligence? Or perhaps an electro-tango fusion with eerie trap elements? Suno can handle it all with surprising authenticity. The platform offers two primary ways to create:
Quick Create Mode: Simply describe your song and hit create
Custom Mode: Fine-tune your creation with separate controls for lyrics and musical style

Looking Forward
While some musicians might view AI music generators with skepticism, Suno V4 feels less like a replacement for human creativity and more like a powerful new instrument in the musician's toolkit. It's opening up new possibilities for musical expression and making music creation more accessible to everyone.
The Bottom Line
Suno V4 represents a significant leap forward in AI music generation. Whether you're a professional musician looking to expand your creative palette or a complete novice wanting to experiment with music creation, Suno V4 offers an impressive and accessible platform to explore.

AI's Limited Impact on 2024 Election: More Division Than Disruption

The Rundown:
Despite widespread concerns about AI disrupting the 2024 election through misinformation and propaganda, its impact was more subtle. Instead of swaying votes, AI technology deepened existing partisan divides and affected public trust in information.
The Details:
* Original Concerns: Experts feared AI would amplify misinformation and propaganda
* Expected Threats: Predictions included manipulated content and automated disinformation campaigns
* Actual Impact: Limited direct influence on voting outcomes
* Real Effect: Contributed to growing distrust in information sources
* Timeline: Two years of warnings from tech and policy experts preceded the election
The Link:
Why It Matters:
The 2024 election serves as a crucial case study in AI's actual impact on democratic processes. While the technology didn't create the widespread electoral chaos many feared, its role in deepening partisan divides and eroding trust in information presents a different but equally significant challenge for future elections. This insight helps inform both tech policy and democratic safeguards moving forward.
AI's Role in Music: Evolution, Not Extinction

The Rundown:
New research from the University of Agder suggests AI won't threaten music's future. Instead, it's becoming a collaborative tool that enhances creativity while preserving the human element in music production. The study highlights how AI is transforming background music production while leaving live performances untouched.
The Details:
Live Performance Stays Human: Concert experiences remain irreplaceable, maintaining musicians' primary income source
Creative Partnership: Artists use AI as a collaborative tool for songwriting and production
Job Market Shift: Background music creation for media may transition to AI
Democratic Access: AI tools help independent artists compete with larger industry players
Craft Concerns: Researchers warn about potential loss of fundamental musicianship skills
Why It Matters:
This research challenges the fear of AI replacing musicians, instead pointing to a future where technology and human creativity coexist. While AI may take over routine music production tasks, the human elements of performance, emotional connection, and artistic innovation remain irreplaceable. This shift could democratize music production while raising important questions about maintaining musical craftsmanship in an AI-assisted future.
